Your laptop is awesome but the battery power sucks! We all know that feeling. When buying a new laptop, battery rating always has to be major a consideration. However, if you're keeping your existing laptop for the time being, heres some tips:
1.Turn on battery saving mode - all laptops have one. You should even be able to adjust it.
2. Dim the screen - nothing like a big shiny and energy draining screen to curtail your battery and ability to work.
3. Disconnect all wireless devices - USBs, external drives, and other such devices play the drain game with your battery and most folks don't know this! Disconnect them, now!
4. Cut the Wifi - Even if your screen is flapped down on your laptop, it may still be searching for wireless networks to connect with. This will drain your battery. If you don't need to be searching for networks, then don't!
5. SSD (Solid State Drive) - Get one and replace your hard drive with it. A hard drive requires tonnes of energy to spin and power your laptop. This will kill your battery life. Using an SSD will dramatically save on your battery life, with a bit of upfront investment.
We hope these tips will keep you powered up and on the go. Oh and don't forget, lose or misplace your laptop charger - that's just annoying. :)
