Does USB Type C charge faster?
This is in many cases correct. The USB-C is able to deliver power at a greater velocity, over and above anything charging your smart phone and/or tablet. For example, Google Pixel C ships with a 15W charger designed specifically to charge faster than a USB-A charger. It should be noted that many Universal Laptop Chargers are now shipping with a compatible USB-C tip and should be considered an excellent failsafe alternative replacement.
